What I got this week
Bought:
- Soldier by Julie Kagawa
- Cheshire Cat Funko Pop! Vinyl
- Gryffindor magnet
Technically I didn’t really buy the first two. I used my Amazon Rewards points to get Soldier, and my Barnes & Noble settlement credit to get Chessie. Yay free stuff!
I stumbled on the Gryffindor magnet at 5 Below. They had some pretty cool stuff there!
From pub:
AHHHHH THANK YOU ST. MARTINS PRESS *bows* If you didn’t know, I’ve been DYING for this book for some time now, and I was about ready to barter my firstborn child for it. Thankfully I didn’t have to XD
Won:
I won these from a Goodreads giveaway! See, it DOES happen haha. I was actually pretty surprised when the package arrived, because I thought the giveaway was just for a copy of Willowgrove. So it was a nice surprise to get the whole trilogy!
Gifted:
- Piece of driftwood that looks like a wand
I never thought I’d get excited over a stick. BUT LOOK HOW COOL IT IS (the picture really doesn’t do it justice). My boyfriend’s mom found it and gave it to me, isn’t she awesome?!
Other mail:
- HP minimalist posters from HalfBloodPrints: Sirius, 9 3/4, sorting hat
This was actually from an order I placed way back in December that arrived with a print missing (Sirius) that I just now got. Cool that they threw in some extra stuff for the trouble!

What I’ve been up to this week:
Not much, just working at (and enjoying) the new job! We celebrated Aaron’s birthday on Monday, he turned 25! Nothing else exciting to report, it was a pretty calm and uneventful week (which is a good thing sometimes) :D

That wand is awesome, seriously! I am so glad to hear you got your most anticipated book! That is just such a nice thing to hear. I got Nevernight (eARC) and I started reading it but I am having a hard time getting into it. I am gonna read something else and then try to come back to it. I hope you live it tho! Have a great week!
Oh no, I’m so sad to hear that you’re having trouble getting into Nevernight! I finished it last night and it’s definitely my favorite book of the year. I hope you have better luck when you come back to it!
It’s good to hear you’re enjoying your new job and settling into it. And that’s an impressive haul of new reads. Lucky you!
My Sunday Post
I always have fun looking at Five Below to find little things like those magnets. Isn’t it awesome when a publisher sends you the book you’re so excited for? And to get the ARC you’re the most excited about makes for an awesome week! Hope next week is a good one too, love all your photos!
