Books I got this week

book haul

a thousand pieces of you swag let the sky fall signed

Bought:

I looove that Shannon Messenger signature! I think it’s one of my favorite signatures :)

I ordered A Thousand Pieces just for the swag pack, before I actually read it. I pretty much never buy a book brand new/full price if I haven’t read it (because I usually regret it), but I wanted the swag pack really bad! I ended up having a love/hate relationship with the book, sadly…but at least the cover is pretty, right?

Weekly Recap

Posts on the blog:

What I’ve been up to this week:

Still stuck in Skyrim! I broke down and bought one of the other add-ons, Dragonborn, which gives you an all new map. Needless to say that’s all I’ve done the last 3 days XD It’s so addicting! I already beat Miraak, which was the main quest haha!

My work schedule was all wonky this week because of the holidays. We were closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday (I still had to go in at 7 and 7 to feed/walk the dogs, but I left as soon as I was done), which was a nice break! Wednesday was INSANE, and felt like Saturday. Then yesterday reminded me what a Saturday actually feels like. It kinda sucked =/ It was Day for Douche Dogs, I swear. And all the asshole dogs were putting me in a bad mood, then I was just in a funk for the rest of the day. *sigh*

I got bit again this week…I swear I can’t go a day without hurting myself (yesterday I got into my finger with the Dremel and shaved off about 3 layers of skin…you do not know pain until you feel Dremel on skin). It was an accident this time, though, so it wasn’t bad at all (I mean, the bite was kinda bad, but it wasn’t traumatizing. There’s no bad adrenaline rush if you don’t have an aggressive dog coming at you). I went into daycare to get a dog out, and as I was putting on his collar one of the other dogs decided it was a fabulous idea to engage in some neck biting. My finger was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. 90 pound rottie doesn’t know his own strength! And seriously, that dog would never hurt a fly intentionally. He just plays really rough. He’s a big dumb happy meathead :)

  1. I think I’ve found someone more accident prone than me! That’s an accomplishment ;) I did cut myself twice while cooking this week – while peeling apples (lost a nail and it went deep!) and while rinsing a can (seriously?) but I think you win!

Have a good – accident free? – week!

  2. OOOoh very pretty! Love that A Thousand Pieces of You cover! It’s so gorgeous! Made even more so by all the matching swag!! I almost ordered through Anderson’s, but I saw the post a little late and worried they’d already run out of posters and such so I ordered elsewhere.

Hope you enjoy your new reads! Especially ATPOY which was AWESOME! Happy Reading!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. And I thought I was the only one who was constantly getting hurt at work. I work at a convenience store and I swear that lottery tickets and that cooler are the devil. I’m always getting stabbed, cut, poked and everything else.

  4. I’m pretty sure the “love/hate the book but THE COVER” opinion is most of what I’ve seen in reviews for A Thousand Pieces of You. At least it’ll look nice on the shelf and you have all the swag!

It must have been a week for getting hurt at work – I pinched my arm between the desk and chair several times, and ran into a wall at least once a day while I was there. I hope everything heals well for you!

  5. Oh I didn’t know you were working wtih animals! They can be such assholes but it’s REWARDING (just remember that! Haha). Lovely swag pack, I think I’m learning that I should pay full price for books either. It’s usually the books that have been hyped that I end up buying…and I always feel disappointed. :/

Well I hope you have a good week Jessi (and bite-free of course)
