2 week recap

Like I said earlier this week, I haven’t had time to make my rounds and probably won’t for some time =/

news

I’ve been totally slacking on EVERYTHING blog related lately. In fact, I just finished The Treatment and After the End this week and they were the first books I’ve finished in 3 weeks! It makes me sad. I miss blogging but I just can’t find the time right now :(

Also, I forgot to mention before but I’m definitely not going to BEA this year. I know I had said I was a couple of months ago, but a LOT has changed since then. It’s either buy a house or go to BEA…no choice there! Maybe next year…

personal

If you’ve seen my last several personal posts, you’ll know I’ve been trying to close on a house. I finished the loan paperwork this week, ordered the appraisal, and got it inspected. The inspection went pretty well…most of the stuff we had already known (like the master bathroom floor is messed up), but we did find out the furnace isn’t working. So thank goodness we’re moving in summer! Now I’m just waiting to get the inspection report and find out from my real estate agent where to go next. The waiting is KILLING me! I just want to get this grueling process over with at this point!

What’s in your mailbox, loverlies? Link me up!

  1. Haha, I didn’t realise it was told in second person until my friend told me. AFTER I had downloaded it. The house is obviously much more important than BEA! I’m not going either so we can sulk together XD I’m glad everything is going well for you.

  2. Yeah I thought Blackbird sounded so good, but didn’t download it because of the second person. I think that would ruin it for me :/

I’m so upset you’re not going to BEA. :( I understand why, but I’m still sad!

  3. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Don’t think I’ve ever read a book in second person. Cringe just at the thought of it! Hope you enjoy it though!

It’s understandable that your hands are full with the getting a house situation! It sounds like a lotta work! Reading definitely takes a back seat to that! Reading should be enjoyable, so don’t force yourself to read and turn it into a job!

Bummer you can’t make BEA. I’m not going myself, but it’s always a bummer when you plan a book related trip and stuff happens to cancel it. I was considering doing BEA next year myself, maybe we can be travel buddies then! ;)

    Have a great week!

    Here’s my STS

  4. First of all, boo that you’re not going to be able to make it to BEA, but maybe in two years because I know in 2016 it’s moving to Chicago which may be a little more closer to you? (I’m not good at geography but I feel like Chicago and Ohio are relatively close) And good luck on getting your house! That is so exciting it must be so stressful but at the same time really exciting. Have a fantastic week, Jessi! <33
