*This is from the last month because I’m just now getting caught up with blogging >.<
- My #1 favorite post this week goes to When bullying isn’t bullying by Mel @ The Daily Prophecy. This has been a major problem for me, especially lately – because I’m a very direct person and people can’t handle it. This was a very thought provoking post that I think everyone needs to read!
- Kelly @ Effortlessly Reading rants about people who ask for comments (this annoys me too!)
- Jenna @ Jenna Does Books discusses when books make her angry
- Ashley @ Nose Graze answers the question do you have to follow bloggers who follow you?
- Cee @ The Novel Hermit wants to know if you’re a free-spirited or planned book picker (I’m a bit of both!)
- Kelly @ Pretty Little Reader talks about her review process (which is a lot like mine!), gives us some tips for blogging on the go, and goes on a campaign against CAPTCHA
- Eileen @ Singing and Reading in the Rain talks about “ME” books (I need to read more of those!)
- And last but definitely not least – in fact, this one takes my #2 slot this week – Leanne @ Oh, the Books! talks about worst case scenarios (LOVE this! Very empowering!)
This weekend was my library’s biannual book sale! Woo hoo! I always look forward to it because it’s so exciting to find books for $1 or less. This is why I can afford to have so many books – I rarely ever buy them full price ;)
Same old crap, different day. Work was rough this week because I’ve been getting the whole “you’re mean” and “you’re scary” bit again (Hi, my name is Jessi and I eat puppies and small children for breakfast), and to be honest I’ve had enough. Wednesday was a pretty good day, but seriously if next week doesn’t improve from this week, I think it’s high time to look for employment elsewhere.
On the bright side, though, the weather has been MUCH nicer! Glad to have it get above 40 degrees for a change!
What’s in your mailbox, loverlies? Link me up!
WOW — what a great haul from your library book sale! I just saw a poster up at my library about a sale coming up next month … I’ve never been to a library book sale before, so I’m excited! Hooray for cheap books!
I hear ya on the work situation…that’s the reason that I went looking for work elsewhere too. If people are being rude and mean, it’s no fun to go to work, and work should be fun. Yeah, it is work, but you still have to feel comfortable and a valued part of the staff. Hopefully it all works out for you soon! xoxo
I have my libraries biannual book sale too right now but I won’t go till Tuesday because that’s the last day when you get all you can fit in a sack for $5. Most of the books you got I have yet to read. Fun for you!
*googly eyes* all those books – what a sale!
I hope work gets better for you – it’s tough when people constantly give you a hard time for just being yourself.
Why doesn’t my library have book sales like that?! I’m so jealous.
So jealous of the Libraries in the US. They don’t ruin the spines and books entirely with stickers and all. It looks terribly ugly here, and the stickers are practically non-removable. I hope you enjoy them :)
Ummm . . . I want a library sale. But srsly . . . ALSO–chin up! If the co-workers are being obnoxious, threaten to feed them to your dragons. That will give them something to think about ;)
Jessica @ Rabid Reads
That haul is amazing! You are going to need a new bookshelf!
Missie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
I hope your work week is better this week Jessi <3
I could seriously DROOL over your library haul! WOW WOW WOW! $1.00 hardbacks!!! I need to Google and see if my library ever has sales like this <3 AMAZING haul!!
Whoa! Those are some deals you got! The last few times I checked out what the library was selling by me, there wasn’t much of variety for paranormal reads. Plus they were usually in crummy condition! Yours all look pretty good from the side! Happy Reading!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
$1 HCs!? OMG and in such great quality too! Lucky you. I’d love some of those titles. I didn’t get anything in the mailbox this week. Was expecting some but no luck. Oh well.
I need to find out if a) any libraries in my area have a decent YA section and b) if they ever have sales because man, all those books for under $30?!! Amazing!
Thanks for the link love; glad you enjoyed so many of my posts :D
Fingers crossed things start looking up at work! Warmer weather will hopefully help – I know it’s done loads for my mood lately!
Thanks for the shout out Jessi! I hope my post reaches many people :) That is an awesome book haul and the books are in such good condition. We had a couple of library sales, but those books were a total disaster. The raven boys & Scarlet are two great books, happy reading :)
