I may not watch much TV, but I am a HUGE fan of movies! My all time favorite movie EVER is:

Seriously, it is epic. EPIC, I TELL YOU. How epic, you ask? Well, I went to see it 7 times in theater. Yes, that’s right, seven times. No, I’m not kidding. Twice in IMAX 3D, twice in regular 3D, and the rest were all regular 2D. Mind you, IMAX 3D is about $20 a ticket, and regular 3D is $13-15. It was worth every penny. I now own it and have probably watched it an additional 5+ times at home. I could watch it every day and never get sick of it! If you want to know exactly why, check out my review HERE. (It’s only one of two movies I’ve ever reviewed on the blog, that doesn’t happen very often!)
And now I want to go watch it.

Until Pacific Rim came along, my favorite movie for years was The Fifth Element. I’ve watched it a million times and can quote practically the whole movie (seriously, you never want to watch that movie with me). I would LOVE to see this movie get remade in modern technology!! (Only, you know, they HAVE to keep Bruce and Milla or I will stab someone…)

Okay, so here’s a list of my favorite movies, in tentative order:

  • Pacific Rim
  • The Fifth Element
  • The Lion King
  • Jurassic Park movies
  • Tangled
  • Finding Nemo
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Pirates of the Caribbean movies
  • Silent Hill
  • A Walk to Remember
  • How to Train Your Dragon
  • Tremors movies
  • Treasure Planet
  • Liar, Liar
  • Avatar
  • Step Up 2

I’ve seen ALL of these movies at least 4 times and can quote most of them! I could watch any of these over and over again and never get sick of them! I have a soft spot for Disney movies, as you can see :)

Other movies I love:

  • Transformers movies
  • The Avengers
  • Pitch Black
  • Deep Blue Sea
  • Ghost Ship
  • Tron: Legacy
  • Constantine
  • Ice Age
  • Monsters, INC
  • Dirty Dancing
  • Hook
  • The Incredibles
  • Skyline
  • Komodo
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • 10 Things I Hate About You
  • The Proposal
  • Resident Evil
  • Rise of the Guardians

Your turn! Make your own post telling everyone about your favorite movies and link up! I encourage you all to participate ;)

Ideally, I want this to become meme style with many other bloggers participating so we can learn more about as many bloggers as possible! I’m sure it will take some time, but I hope you guys will be interested in joining.

  1. omg I LOVE Tangled and I totally agree with you about the soft spot for Disney movies. they’re always so lighthearted but have a serious undertone and the animator a who work for Disney and Pixar blow my mind with the detailing behind their animation. I saw How To Train Your Dragon yesterday on FX and that ending is always sooo emotional I love Toothless :))

  2. I will admit I have never ever watched Pacific Rim, but I am a huge fan of The fifth Element! You’ve got some great picks and they’re definitely varied. I thinking picking things like favourite films/music is definitely hard because for me I tend to focus on one genre and see if I can expand on that.

  3. I love this topic, I might do this one too :D You have a soft spot for Disney, now you are truly my instant best friend, haha. Beauty and the beast <3 Disney is my lifeeeee. I really want to see Pacific Rim. I love these movies from your list:

    •The Lion King
    •Tangled
    •Finding Nemo
    •Beauty and the Beast
    •Pirates of the Caribbean movies
    •How to Train Your Dragon
•Treasure Planet [AWESOME. Not many know this movie]
    •Avatar
    •The Avengers
    •Ice Age
    •Monsters, INC
    •The Incredibles
    •The Nightmare Before Christmas
    •Sleepy Hollow
•10 Things I Hate About You
    •The Proposal
    •Rise of the Guardians

  4. Tangled and Beauty and the Beast! LOVE those movies, as well as The Little Mermaid (which I now happily own; yes!). The first Jurassic Park movie was the best if you ask me but I like them all. Did you ever read the book? And Pirates of The Caribbean! LOVE the first three movies. The fourth was just so-so.

  5. Disney (and Pixar) movies are the best. I recently saw Frozen and I’m fangirling over it so bad. I NEED to see it again.
I love so many of the ones on your list. Beauty and the Beast has to be my favorite princess movie ever. Frozen is kind of rivaling it, but Beauty and the Beast is a classic. So it remains number 1 haha. But Frozen is up there. And so is Tangled. I saw that one on opening day at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood :D
I absolutely LOVE the Jurassic Park movies. I recently read the book and it just made me appreciate the movie even more. They are totally different in some respects but still SO GOOD.

  6. I, too, have a soft spot for kids movies … they’re AWESOME. My hubby and I used to go see them in the theatre, for the late show, so we’d be almost the only ones in the whole theatre!

I haven’t seen Pacific Rim yet (I haven’t seen many movies this year at ALL) but I’ve heard GREAT things about it, so I will definitely check it out one of these days. When, you know, I have a bit more free time ;)

We have an abnormally large movie collection (in addition to our huge book collection). Disney movies are definitely a big part of them! I got the hubs to take me to see Frozen last weekend and loved it! We both loved How to Train Your Dragon and can’t wait for the 2nd one! Jurassic Park is also one of my favorites. I also got him to take me to see it in 3D and it was EPIC!!! The fifth element is one of his favorites. With your reluctance towards romance, I’m surprised to see A Walk to Remember on the list. I own and enjoy that one as well, but it pales in comparison to the book. The book is on my all-time favorites list!

  8. My ALL time favorite movie is… Gattaca. And I quite enjoyed The Fifth Element, too :D How to Train Your Dragon! <333 So excited for How to Train Your Dragon 2! Avatar! <3 And The Lion King always makes me cry…
