Weekly Recap

News:

Boy, have I been slacking this week! I was doing sooo good last month, I was about 3 weeks ahead in scheduling and was reading 4 books a week so my reviews were all done and scheduled a month in advance. But the past two weeks I’ve not only been in a reading slump, but I’ve been busy doing other things (*coughs* book photography & Instagram) so I’ve been neglecting the blog :(

It’s so, so hard to find a balance for me. I have a bit of an obsessive personality, so I tend to throw myself wholeheartedly into things. I can only really focus on one thing at a time because I get so into it! Instead of splitting up my time between hobbies I do only one or two things for a week or two straight and then move on to something else. Plus, I have so many hobbies that I don’t have time for everything. I want to do ALL THE THINGS but there aren’t enough hours in a day!

I’ve also been having motivation issues the past couple of weeks (more than usual). I’m a lazy person by nature, so doing anything at all is always a big production – I have to procrastinate for a week (or more) and bitch and complain about how much I don’t want to do something before I finally break down and do it. I also really, really suck at time management. Does anybody have any suggestions for that? I need some serious help O_O

In other news, my Instagram hit 1,000 followers this week! I’m hosting a giveaway for a TBR jar and personalized bookish calligraphy quote ;)

  1. I am so so so so relieved to know I’m not the only person who cannot do more than one hobby at a time… I get stuck on something for a few day (maybe a bit more) and then I move onto something else and don’t come back to the previous thing until weeks later. I wish I had more time in the day, too. Hermione’s time turner would be an amazing gadget to have…

If you come up with any ideas for motivation & time management, please share with me, too! >.< Congrats on reaching 1K! That's awesome! :D And btw, "Talon" arrived in my mailbox this week! Thank you SO MUCH! :D <3

  2. I’m new to Instagram as well, but still haven’t quite figured it out. Why don’t you incorporate some bookish photography into your blog, so that you can make use of both hobbies? I love the photos that you’ve shared on Instagram, and you might get some more followers (as well as love and appreciation for your photos) if you add them into your blog as well? Just a thought =)
