liveanywhere

So, I haven’t really traveled all that far. If we’re talking ANYWHERE, maybe I’d pick someplace like Australia or something. But I’ve never been there, so I don’t know! As far as places I have been, I’ve always wanted to live in Florida! I looove the atmosphere down there, and I think the state is absolutely beautiful. Oh, and there’s no winter, which means no snow! I know it gets insanely hot in summer, but I think I would rather trade high heat for freezing cold!

My favorite place in Florida is New Smyrna. It’s touristy, but I think it’s beautiful!

365-1Isn’t it gorgeous?!
(This is just a random house for an example)

While the idea of living so close to the ocean is highly appealing to me, it’s also highly scary. I’d be terrified of hurricanes! That’s the only qualm I have about living on the coast.

The other place in Florida I’d like to live is where my grandma is, the Alachua/Gainesville area. It’s a very nice town! The University of Florida was always my dream college! Honestly, though, as long as I could live in Florida I’d be happy. Confession: I have a rather crazy obsession with palm trees! I want them in my landscaping SO bad it’s kind of strange…

My second choice would probably be South Carolina. Again, I think it’s beautiful…and palm trees!

Really, as long as I’m somewhere warm with palm trees, beaches, and no snow, I’d be happy. I just want to get out of Ohio!

  1. Although I didn’t specifically list Florida, I think it would definitely meet my qualifications. Like you, I’m going for no snow! I want beaches (love palm trees) and warm or even HOT weather. I interpreted this a little bit more dreamily though, so I didn’t stick to places I’ve actually been or really have any chance of ever living lol.

  2. I would definitely pick Australia. I considered picking Florida or California, even though I have never been to either of these places, but I’m not a fan of America’s healthcare system so that would be a slight issue XD Also guns. Australia it is!

  3. I’ve never been to Florida, although it sounds really nice. Plus I could definitely use a break from the cold weather. It’s -22C (-7 F) here right now. Brr!! I’d like to visit Miami one day. It would also be nice to be near the ocean!

    • Ugh, I feel you! It’s barely gotten over 15 degrees F here in the past month, and most mornings it’s either single digits or negatives! I’m SO sick of the cold, need some warmth and sunshine in my life!

  4. Well, a dear friend of mine lives in Ohio, so I’d definitely go there if I had the chance. But I’m in the Netherlands. If I could go anywhere, I’d probably pick to go to a cool country like Slovakia or Germany. Maybe Spain. I have always wanted to go to the USA, but I am not a fan of guns, neither am I a fan of some others parts of the USA, but well. Australia also sounds lovely, but it’s so far from home.

  5. Australia is definitely and awesome place to live. :) Particularly tropical Queensland, because winter is non-existent and the beaches are niiiiice. (I know from experience. XD) I think I’d like to live in Paris. Just because…you know, chocolate and coffee.

  6. I, too, want out of Ohio! Unfortunately, it probably will not happen (at least for the next 5 years!). I’ve been here since birth so a change would be great. Florida is nice, but I don'[t know if I’d want to live there…The Carolinas, on the other hand, are magnificent. I spent a week on an island off of North Carolina last year and it was so. awesome.

I think I’d personally want to live in another country, though, IF I had the choice. I’ve always wanted to see New Zealand just because of the breath-taking landscapes, and it is swarming with beaches and nice weather! :D

    • Yeah, same here. Financially we just can’t afford it! But it will happen someday. IT WILL. Yes, the Carolinas are beautiful!

I want to see New Zealand for sure! Australia, Japan, Ireland, and Scotland are my top priorities though :)

  7. Sam

I’ve never been to Florida or South Carolina. But, my sister lives in North Carolina and it is really beautiful down there. I would assume it’s similar to South Carolina.

  8. I’ve always wanted to visit Florida. Haha California is nice in the fact that we don’t have snow. Ha I hate cold. We have really nice winters actually, except for the small rainy season which we’re having right now (YAY no more drought – in winter if you can believe that) But i’m really NOT a Winter/Cold person so I’m with you! Heat over Cold! All the way. I think it’s because I lived in Arizona for the first year of my life. I’m like the only one in my family who actually likes hot summers. Haha

ANYWAY, I love that picture! So pretty!!
    XOXO, Inky

    • Lucky!!! It seems like it snows EVERY FREAKING DAY here anymore. I haven’t seen grass for 2 months! Oohh, I always wanted to see Arizona! Maybe someday I’ll get out to Cali to visit you in the warmth ;)

  9. Aww I’d totally want to live in Florida as well because it’s so sunny and happy. Where I live, a lot of people are cold and stand-offish and I heard that people from Florida are super hospitable. I’d love to live in New York or California though! Well, NYC would be a short term thing because I feel like that pollution would be horrible! Thanks for sharing, Jessi! <33

  10. I would love to live in a place without any winter time! I like the look of snow because everything looks pretty when it’s snowed over. But that’s it. I hate the cold of it and I hate how slippery it is. So annoying! I haven’t been in Florida, but I hope to travel there next year. Beaches and palm trees are the best! :D

    • It IS pretty…but I just can’t stand to be out in it! I think if I had the option of staying in when the weather is awful then I’d be perfectly fine with it. But I really miss the sunshine :(

  11. I always jump to say I’d love to live somewhere without snow, but some of my favourite outdoor activities are winter ones! Snowboarding, skating, skiing, ski-dooing, sledding – you can’t have those without snow!

I’ve never been to Florida, but it’s on my list! Everything about it, including the extreme heat, is appealing.

  12. Florida huh? I heard the weather is awesome there, so that’s a HUGE plus! I’m dead tired of wet snowy NYC already.
    And that house is BEAUTIFUL.

  13. That is a pretty cool house – and I love the trees! Haha
I’ve only been to Miami and Orlando, so I have NO idea what the rest of Florida is like. But my family that lives there seems to like it. So it can’t be all that bad (:
The hurricanes would scare me, too, though. Part of the reason why I don’t think I’d live on the east coast. And I should probably take that into account if I do end up in New Orleans o.o

  14. I lived in Ohio for three months and needless to say, I didn’t love it nearly as much as I thought I would. The humidity wasn’t too bad when I was there (I HATE humidity), but I didn’t like how cold it got so early in the year–October was freezing! It definitely came as a shock, since Octobers in New Mexico are still really warm (for the most part).

  15. Cee

I could never live in Florida. The heat is not my friend. :D I’m pretty sure I would melt.

I would love to live in Europe, specifically London. I actually have relatives out there, so it’s a definite possibility.

  16. Some place warm, hell yes! I’m SO sick and tired of the weather we have over here. We don’t have a real summer and most of the times it’s just rainy and cold. Blugh. I need a warmer climate to survive :p
