I like nice things. I tend to hold my things in high regard (probably higher than I should). But, there’s only one object I own that I could never replace:

lamby

Meet Lamby! (Don’t judge, I was 5 when I named him.) My daddy won him from a claw machine at a bowling alley for me when I was 5 years old. He’s been my favorite stuffed animal since! He is very special to me because I grew up with him and he has a lot of memories attached to him. I would be very upset if anything ever happened to him! If (god forbid) my house ever caught on fire, he’d be the first thing I’d save after making sure that my fiancé and my animals were safe. Then I’d probably go for the computer since I have thousands of pictures on it that can’t be replaced…

Let’s just hope it never comes to that!

Next week’s topic: Scents

Your turn! Make your own post telling everyone about your most prized possession and link up :)

  1. Aw, that is so cute, though! I had a little tiny toy dog that was my absolutely favourite thing when I was little. I think I have him around somewhere. I’m really not a sentimental person, unfortunately, because my family moves SO much and we literally get rid of everything all the time. :| I do absolutely prize my cello, though, because it’s a wickedly nice sounding cello (it’s quite old and apparently old cellos sound best) and I got it for a fabulous price. So I love it! XD

  2. That is a great story. I don’t know what my prized possession would be. I do still have a lot of stuff from childhood, but I don’t know if I would pick one out from the rest. I do have a box of family photo albums from back when you had to print all your pictures to know what you had (boy, I love digital). I would probably go for that box.

  3. That’s so cute! I had a teddy called Pinky when I was growing up – he’s now a delightful shade of grey but once upon a time he was baby pink. Pinky is in storage now, thanks to my parents being in transit (he stays at their house), but this made me feel really nostalgic and I wish I’d grabbed him and brought him home with me instead :(

  4. Shannon @ Rex Robot Reviews

Aww!! My prized possession was my blankie! It would totally be the first thing I would save after family/pets. I would also save my daughter’s blankie and her seal, Gut-Gut, because I know how important those things are!

  5. My prized possession is a stuffed animal, too! I’ve had him since I was 3 or 4, and there are SO many memories attached to him. I used to have him with me all of the time, so he’s in hundreds of pictures with me. It’s a little stuffed elephant, and I named him Trumpy (sort of like Lamby, haha). I would definitely grab him immediately if my house ever caught fire because I couldn’t imagine losing him. :( There’s way too much sentiment attached!

  6. Aw, that’s really cute! I had tons of stuffed animals when I was growing up so I never really had one that I was particularly attached to. I must have gone to Build a Bear about three times in one year once. I do remember my first bear though; her name was Lucinda and she’s packed away in the house somewhere.

  7. Aww that’s so cute! I love my stuffed animals, I have a bit of a collection obsession with them. And our bed actually has quite some stufed aimals on and around it. I have a few sheep stuffed animals as well, one of my favourites is a stuffed animals of Shirley the sheep from the Shaun the Sheep series.

    • I used to have a bunch of stuffed animals on my bed, too! I had to buy a pet net and stow them away when I moved into a house with my fiancé. He’s not a stuffed animal kind of guy lol!
