Wow, this is really hard for me! I’ve got tons of great childhood memories from our old house, but it’s more of a collection of images than an actual memory of an event. Our dog Bear, Christmas in the old house, my parents, my room, the time when we had a tornado watch and I dragged all of my stuffed animals out into the hallway too…

I suppose if I had to pick a favorite growing up, it would be going to Disney World with my parents! I honestly don’t remember a whole lot, just bits and pieces. But they’re good pieces :) I wish I had pictures, but sadly I don’t. There may be some in my mom’s scrapbooks somewhere, but I don’t have them. So my response this week is kind of lame >.<

  1. Nice memory, Jessi.
I’ve never been to DisneyWorld, but that reminded me of a specific episode in a similar theme park in Italy called Gardaland. I was there with my brother (we were kids) and my grandparents, and we went into the “scary castle” (I don’t remember what the name was). Everything was going fine, until I got to the ladder. If I remember correctly, they were some sort of steps that you had to make in a certain sequence because they were going up and down (so you had to make the step at the right moment). I didn’t get that, so I got it all wrong, and that resulted in me screaming and crying because I was completely terrified. This episode scarred me so much that I never entered that house again, even in my teens.

Going to Disney World is definitely one of my top memories as well. So are Christmas mornings with my grandparents and uncle.

  3. One year my parents and I went to Disney and stayed at the Polynisian (spelled that wrong lol) and it was super chilly but we made the best of it. It was my favorite time going to disney we walked around Epcot taking our time walking through all the lands and just enjoying ourselves with ponchos on (it rained a lot too) one of my favorite memories with my parents :)

Disney is one of the best places to make the best memories! Thanks for sharing all your memories (totally not lame at all)
