What I’ve been up to this month
Scrambling, lol! The holidays are always crazy (and hella stressful) and I’m happy to leave them behind.
I did get to go on another vacation, though! I spent the week from Christmas to New Year’s down in Florida with my parents! It wouldn’t be Christmas without them. It was a super low-key vacation (unlike last time!) – I didn’t do much of anything and didn’t spend any money other than gas and lodging fees. I stayed in the tent for the week – it’s a reeeaaally nice tent that’s basically a small cabin, but it kind of sucked. It rained and the damn tent leaked (Coleman claims it was “weatherproof,” the weather test determined that was a lie), plus it was so humid everything in the tent was damp all week. Uggghhh. I was so happy to come home to my own bed!! I did stay in a hotel on the way down – I split the trip into two parts and stopped halfway. It was AMAZING!! I have never done that before, I’ve always just driven the full 12 hours straight through. I got spoiled! It was so wonderful to chill for a few hours and have some peace and quiet. I watched The Mummy and read for a bit. I stayed at Red Roof Inn and the room was super nice! Definitely want to do it again!
Movies: Life, Bird Box
Music: Skyrim soundtrack
Food: Protein energy bites – it’s made with oats, coconut, protein powder, flaxmeal, peanut and almond butters, raw honey, and mini chocolate chips. I am OBSESSED!
Games: Sudoku – screen time said I spent 50 hours on that damn game the week I was on vacation XD
January TBR
- The Deceivers by Kristen Simmons
- City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
- Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons
- The Girl King by Mimi Yu

What’s in your mailbox, loverlies? Link me up!
I LOOOOVE your bookish photos! I’ve never spent Christmas away from Ohio, but the weather sucked. It was rainy and gross and unseasonably warm. And I could totally play Sudoku for hours on end! When I was pregnant last year and I would wake up in the middle of the night for no damn reason, I would play on my sudoku app for like two hours lol!
I’m sad to see you didn’t really like Storm Crow D:
