Blog news:

I’m hoping that with normalcy returning to my life, I’ll have more time to start visiting blogs again and commenting regularly!

Does anyone know of any upcoming readathons? I’m getting really behind on reading and have been dying for a readathon!

What I’ve been up to this week:

After the cluster that was last weekend, I had a busy week. I feel like I haven’t had any ME time lately. I’ve had plans almost every day! My work schedule has been jacked up again due to covering for one of the girls, and next week it’s jacked yet again due to me needing coverage. (I’m going to Julie’s dragon making workshop, ahhhh!!!)

Other than that, life is pretty good! Thursday was a good day and Friday was even better (actually, Friday was pretty damn amazing!). Also, I finally pulled the weeds out of my garden – whew, that was HARD work. The weeds weren’t so bad, but I had two big bushes that had a very vast root system. I ended up having to borrow my dad’s shovel and dig the shit out! The one root system was about two feet in diameter, it was insane. But, I’m SO happy to have all that crap gone and finally have some beautiful flowers to look at! Here’s the before and after:

garden before
garden after

From left to right: Flags, pink and white Begonias, multicolor Impatiens in the back with red/orange Celosia in the front, then red Impatiens with a Oriental Lily (my favorite!) in the middle :) I’m not entirely happy with the arrangement…the way the Oriental Lily is needs to be moved forward, or I need to add something in the front. I’ll figure it out. I’m still totally proud of myself!

I also wanted to thank the amazing Clare at Stacks and Shelves, for doing what was by far the single nicest thing anyone has ever done for me (no seriously guys, her kindness brought me to tears). She’s got a lovely Instagram and she also recently started blogging as well. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, so you guys should definitely check out her IG and blog and say hello! Clare, if you’re reading this, YOU’RE AMAZING. Love you girly <3
