Meet Hannah, aka Inky!

So you’re probably wondering who the heck this Inky person is. Well my REAL name is Hannah, but my blogging alias is Inky. :D So you can call me Inky, Hannah or the Inkinator. I”m 15 going on 16 and am a TOTAL California girl. That’s right, Katy Perry and everything…….Just Kidding. So not. Either way I love books. Splurge way more than I should. Go broke when I should. Stay up all night when I’m tired…good old book love. Besides living in Narnia, Neverland, Middle-Earth and all better-than-earth places I love music. Singing, Pianos, Musicals. You name it. :D I love acting as well, my family can testify to the Drama-Queenness. Believe it or not I have a purple scarf named after every single fictional guy I’ve ever crushed on. It’s about the length of this bio…
Future ambitions include being NYT bestselling Author sometime, recording an album, walking around the mall eating yogurt in a Mayo jar, being on broadway, and doing the shuffle on the moon. I consider myself very fun and outgoing and I love to connect with peeps! Shoot me a hello sometime! I’d love to meet you. Say hi…yahda yah. Oh and my favorite word? AWESOME-Sauce!

[Jessi] I love that word too!

How long have you been blogging? What made you want to start a book blog?

Technically I’ve been blogging for like 15/16 months, but I really only count since January when I REALLY got serious and diving into the blogging world with social media and more serious features. I mean you can see my horrible reviews when I first start if you look way back in the archives. But I really don’t reccomend that. ;)

What do you do when you’re not blogging or reading?

Convincing my mom to take me to the bookstore.

What is your favorite part about blogging? Least favorite?

This is SO cliche, but the PEOPLE! I love my blog time. Reading everyone’s blogs, reading reviews, finding new books geeking out. So great.

THE TIME. Holy Smokes I need like a 72 hour day! Just to get all my tour reviews done, all my posts written and posted and every thing done is crazy.

Where did you come up with the name for your blog?

Ugh. I was like 13 and so not into the blog world when I made the name that I thought it was cool, but right now I’m really sick of it to tell the truth. When I finally have time I’m going to have a complete make-over. That is the day you’ll all want to be my BFF for life. LOL. But honestly I don’t know where the title came from. My younger brain I guess.

Do you have any specific book bloggers that inspire you?

Well I’m in awe of those bloggers (like you) who can just up design their blog. What now? I have not the time. Also I love those who’s posts and reviews and not jumbled blurbs like mine. :D And I profess to be a writer. Lol. But to name a couple blogs I love: Sparkles & Lightning, Clean Teen Fiction, Fiction Freak, Auntie Spinelli Reads, The Teen Book Guru, Read-A-Holicz, Backwoods Reviews, Nawanda Files, LC’s Adventures In Libraryland, Linny’s Literature, etc…So many amazing bloggers out there I can’t list them all!

Love LC’s and Linny’s blogs! And I inspire you too? Aw, gawsh :)

What do you look for in a blog when following? What are your pet peeves?

Pretty. That’s so biased but I like things nicely formatted and easy to read. And I’m not a huge fan of Spam in the sidebars. I like some fun buttons and links and cool countdowns but when there is too much unrealistic spam it drives me nuts.

What’s your favorite book(s)?

Number one best book in all of the world has to be the one and only Lord of the Rings. Nothing beats Middle Earth. It’s got everything, adventure, great worlds, kick-butt females, romance, hot elves, adventure, ghosts, hairy feet, one powerful bad guy. Best ever. :D Never gets old.

Please don’t throttle me…but I haven’t read them, just seen the movies – same goes for Harry Potter. >.>

Favorite author?

Well…obviously I LOVE Tolkien. I mean he created a whole freaking world. But besides him I love the writing of Shannon Hale. Her book Goose Girl is my third favorite book and I love to reread it any time of the year. (Pride & Prejudice would be the 2nd, in case you’re wondering.)

What is the biggest turn off for you when you’re reading a book?

Well what I tend to give low reviews on is flat characters, insta-love and REALLY descriptive writing. Ugh, if the book is thick, boring and stale, it’s not for me.

Ugh, I despise instalove!

What first draws you to a book to make you want to read it?

The cover. Yes I know, I still fall party to the Judge By Cover sometimes. And the synopsis. If it has a good tagline and and a cool premise normally it’s a quick add to my lists.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Hyper. Social-Bug. Bibliophile.

Name a random fact about yourself.

I’m right handed but I can only snap with my left hand. Believe me I’ve tried.

Do you have a job? If so, what do you do?

Babysit. Yep I totally do. But next year I’m thinking Barnes & Nobles totally needs to start hiring again.

What did you want to be when you were little? Has that changed?

I never knew why but I always said Actress. I still do, but I don’t think it’s as realistic for me as Writer is. But alongside that dream I want to produce a CD, be a mom, and the usual, publish a book.

Randomness

Cats or dogs?
Um I don’t know. I’ve never been around them much due to parental allergies.

White, dark, or milk chocolate?
All of the above, as long as it’s not the REALLY dark chocolate. Then it’s blegh.

Coke or Pepsi?
Root Beer ;)

Favorite TV show?

Ever heard of BBC? They have this EPIC show called Sherlock.

Movie?
Lord of the Rings all the way.

Color?
Lime green!

THANKS Jessi! You are so awesome to have me on your blog! It was way fun!
