Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Have Been On My TBR the Longest (and I Still Haven’t Read)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

I am a notorious procrastinator and the same can be said about my intentions to pick up books. If I don’t read them as a new release, they tend to sit around for months (years? Oops) and I just keep putting them off and putting them off. I SUCK. Sooo here are my top ten books I’ve had on my TBR the longest and still haven’t read:

Most of these I’ve heard amazing things about and have been meaning to read FOREVER but just haven’t gotten around to it. I’ve even planned to read or started to read a couple, but for whatever reason didn’t follow through. Burned is a sad one because I LOVED the Fever series! I don’t know why I haven’t picked it up yet. I really want to read Game of Thrones because I’m obsessed with the show, but honestly it’s just so intimidating XD

What books have been on your TBR forever?

  1. I haven’t read Enclave, The Night Circus, or The Book Thief. I have read The Demon King and really loved it, but it was years ago and I have yet to pick up the sequel (because I do that too much).

  2. I’m reading the last book of the seven Realms series right now and it’s definitely climbed to top of my favorite series list. Definitely recommend the demon king! I love these characters and the world :)

  3. Enclave and The Night Circus are a couple that have been sitting on my shelf for years too! :'( I feel like it takes me forever to get to ‘new’ releases, and by the time I read them, they’re old news lol! I did get halfway through Game of Thrones, and now that the show is off until next year, I’ve been thinking about picking up the series (I miss it so!) so that I can have some GoT in my life again! Either that, or just re-watch the series ;D

  4. Oh Game of Thrones is such a commitment!! I hear you there. I listened to the audiobooks, so if audios are your thing, they’re really good! Plus you don’t have to wade through books that are square cubes.

I also sooo need to read The Night Circus, I rEALLY love circus settings lately and people keep telling me to go read it! Also The Demon King and The Book Thief are fabulous. Total recommends!! For, you know, the day your TBR isn’t eating you alive.
