Last week’s topic: If you could live anywhere?

future

To be honest, I’m not much of a planner. I don’t really think about the future all that much because I tend to live in the moment. I never planned out every detail of my future wedding when I was little, never pored over future baby names.

career
As I talked about in the 3rd Life of a Blogger, I plan to become a web designer! It’s something I’d love to do, but I’m still not quite 100%. Sometimes I have doubts, though. Only time will tell!

housing
I’d like to move into my own place sometime in the coming months, when I’m financially ready. I haven’t looked much at houses or locations, but for now I want to stick close to my parents. In the long run, I want somewhere warm, which I talked about in last week’s Life of a Blogger! Maybe someday I can even have two homes so I can be a snowbird!

marriage
Like I said, this is something I never really thought about. I’d like to get married someday, perhaps when the time is right, but I’m really not worried about it at this time in my life!

children
This is something I don’t even want to think about right now, ha. Yes, I want kids someday, but I am far, FAR from ready at this moment. Sometimes I can barely take care of myself, lmao! I want to live for myself first before I live for someone else. I do know I want more than one – 2 is a good number, 3 is my highest though. I’d like to have at least one boy and one girl! I haven’t really thought a lot about names, but I do really like Vivian and Jack. I just want to make sure I am good and ready before I try!

Your turn! Make your own post telling everyone about your future plans and link up :)

Next week’s topic: Introvert or extrovert?

  1. I haven’t really gotten further than to think about my future career and my future school plans. I still have to get my high school certificate. I could have gotten it 2 years ago, but I got sick and all. Hopefully I’ll manage to get it next year.

You have some great plans in mind :) Hopefully they’ll all work out fine :)

  2. I’m with you on the 3 kids limit. I have two of them and I’m not sure I want or could keep up with another! I still kind of want another one though, but a bit part of that has to do with still wanting a little girl. Plus I look both of my kids and think of how quickly their growing and how Oliver won’t be a baby much longer because time goes WAY too fast and I have the feeling when he’s not one anymore I’ll be wanting another one lol. They’re just so adorable and cute and cuddly and everything makes them laugh and they make the cutest little noises and faces. All of that is definitely worth dealing with all of the tantrums and crying and not knowing why they’re crying and the messes and all the other difficult things. Gosh, I could really write a novel about my kids, but I won’t bore you to death with it! haha I hope you get to follow through with all of your plans! :D

  3. Ahh it looks like you actually have a really good idea of what you want in the future! I can totally see you as a web designer in the future, I mean, just look at all of your amazing blog designs so far! I love warm weather as well, but I also love snow if it doesn’t come too often. (Like right now, I have about a food of snow piled outside.) Fantastic post, Jessi! <33

  4. I haven’t done a whole lot of planning for the future either – though, like you, I have lots of general directions that I’d like to go. We’re thinking kids though – but we’ve been together for 9 years so I guess it’s not like we’re rushing lol.

I didn’t plan for the future much either. I definitely was never one of those girls who planned out their wedding growing up. I’ve just recently started thinking about my future kids names, now that I’ve been married almost 4 years. I knew pretty early on that I would probably go to grad school, but that was mostly because every field and/or major I considered required it.
