I honestly don’t remember a darn thing about the second book. I enjoyed the first book for the most part, even though it was generic AF (thanks to the fantastic audiobook narrator, I’m quite sure); but sadly I enjoyed this one a bit less than the first. This book doesn’t have anything to do with an actual circus, so don’t let the title fool you. Think brutal alien Hunger Games, with kidnapped girls! This was good, not great. It was a quick read, and fairly entertaining, but it felt kind of juvenile to me. I feel like there was more focus on drama and romance than the puzzles we were promised.
