My thoughts
While I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as I enjoyed Reboot, Rebel was a great conclusion to a very unique duology! There was plenty of action and edge-of-your-seat moments.
Callum and Wren’s relationship was beautiful. It wasn’t without conflict, but they stuck together and stayed strong when times get tough. Instead of bickering, or being petty (like you see so often in YA), they supported each other. That’s what I want to see!
Once again, I loved Wren. She’s a badass! She fought for what she wanted and didn’t take shit from anyone. I like that! I must say that I hated Micah, though. I wanted to punch him in the face repeatedly!

I wasn’t 100% happy with the world building. I would still have liked to see more of HARC than a faceless entity, and the whole “adults who reboot can’t handle the change, but if you’re younger you can age normally without going crazy” still doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t it make sense that rebooting would be more likely to screw you up if you’re in the crucial stage of development? But, other than that it was good. The bigotry between Reboots and humans was well portrayed! Sometimes alternating points of view can be tricky, too, but I feel as if Amy Tintera pulled it off flawlessly. I never forgot who I was reading.
If you are a fan of sci-fi or dystopian, I definitely recommend this duology!
