In Which I Clean Up My TBR Shelf on Goodreads

So, Monday I got a wild hair and went on a mass deleting spree. I had a lot of random, weird books on my TBR list and it was driving me crazy! I went from 1400 something books down to 720. Crazy, right? (I’m kicking myself now for not screenshot-ing!) There were SO many books were I was just like, “WTF is that? Was I drunk when I added this?” I think many of them were books I added when […]

What do all of these books have in common? I HAVE THEM. ALL OF THEM. Some of them I’ve had for months (*coughs*Murder Complex, over a year). Sadly, I’m playing crazy catch up on my Rewind and Fur & Fangs challenges (because I slacked in the beginning), so I don’t have time to get to any of these until January. (Who knows!) Without further ado, The top five 2015 movies I’m DYING to see!      1. Jurassic World GUYS, I have been waiting 13 years for this movie. THIRTEEN. […]

I’ve seen a few people on Goodreads who will be reading the 3rd (or sometimes 4th) book in  a series, complaining about how it’s not any better than the last two (or three), or it sucks; or have marked it as to-read and say things like “I don’t even know why I want to read this after the last two” or “this book had better not be as terrible as the last two.” Upon looking at their profile, I see […]

Trying to Explain YA to Someone Who Doesn’t Read

Recently one of my bosses asked about my recent trip to Charleston. Hilarity ensued and I just had to share. “Young Adult? How old are you?” “26.” “Aren’t you a little old for that?” “There’s bloggers that are in their 40s!” “But isn’t it called YOUNG adult?” “It’s not called Young Adult because it’s meant for young adults. It’s called that because the age of the characters is at the young adult level.” “So, you’re a pedo then? You like ’em […]
