Champion was a fast paced thrill ride and was the perfect ending to a stunning series! There was plenty of action, and the war aspect was well portrayed. It was very dark and gritty at times (the perfect picture of war). So many heart pounding scenes, especially with Jameson! June and Day’s relationship was heartbreaking! It was sad that they had been separated for so long, and I hated that they had drifted so far apart and become so distant. […]

While fairly fluffy (as per usual with Kiersten White), Illusions of Fate was a cute and magical read! I liked Jessamin for the most part. She was stubborn, but determined, and stood up for what she believed in no matter what. I love that she’s not white! It’s so rare to find that in YA, it was refreshing to have an MC with a different background. I’m not quite sure how I felt about Finn, though. At times he reminded me a […]

See the full list of topics HERE. Last week’s topic: Couponing! (freebie topic) This week’s topic: Fears This is kind of a hard one for me, because there’s not much that actually scares me. I can watch ANY horror movie without batting an eyelash, and no movie I’ve ever seen has scared me. There have been a couple that kind of creeped me out (um, The Hills Have Eyes *cringes*), but none have made me feel fear. Maybe because I […]

Oh jeez, this book is going to be very hard to rate. As you can see from my Overall Assessment breakdown, I was very torn on ratings. While the idea, the plot, the world, and the originality were great; the writing style, characters, and feels were not so great. Pretty bad, in fact. In the beginning the book mostly just annoyed me (sometimes straight ticked me off), but it did get better toward the end. My main issue was that […]
