I loved Stung. LOVED it. The world was amazing, the idea of it was unique and intriguing, and the beasts were scary. I rated it 4.5 stars. Somewhere between Stung and Cured, the magic was lost.   Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it. But, there was none of the epic world building that I adored so much in the first book. There was little to no talk about the bees or the virus, and the beasts only made an […]

This is a hard review to write, because this book inspired absolutely nothing for me. No emotion, no interest, nothing. Overall, this book was just ‘meh.’ Maybe even less than that. It’s not that I hated it, but I didn’t really like it either. This book was just….there. It won’t leave a lasting impression and I probably won’t remember anything about it a month down the road. See the full list of topics HERE. Last week’s topic: Plans for the future I think as readers, many of us are introverts. We’d rather stay home on a Friday night and read a book rather than go out and party. Am I right? So, am I an introvert or extrovert? For the most part, I am an introvert. 9 times out of 10 I am much more content staying in than going out. But, just because I’m an introvert […]

Novel Thoughts: Unique Names in Literature

Novel Thoughts: Unique Names in Literature

This topic was inspired by Angelfall, which had a name that annoyed me: Raffe. It was meant to be pronounced “rah-fee” (as in, short for Raphael), but every time I saw it my brain automatically read it as”rafe” (rhyming with waif). It bugged the crap out of me!! I had to make an actual effort to pronounce it the correct way, and it made my eye twitch. With some books, it works. Actually, I quite like unique names, because it […]
