Novel Thoughts: I suck at commenting

Novel Thoughts: I suck at commenting

I want to reply to every single comment I get. I really do. But I just…don’t. What happens the most is: I look at a comment on my blog. I can’t think of anything to reply other than “thank you” or some lame agreement, not amounting to more than a sentence, so I don’t reply. Instead I go to my commenter’s blog…but then I can’t find anything that I have any thoughts about that are worth commenting either. So I just…don’t….comment. Is that bad? While I want to acknowledge every […]

Review: In a Handful of Dust by Mindy McGinnis

Review: In a Handful of Dust by Mindy McGinnis

I loooved Not a Drop to Drink. I gave it 4.5 heartbeats in my review (the link is below if you want to see it). I’m sad to say that this one didn’t quite live up to the first book. But, I did still enjoy it. The pacing was a tad painful at first. I had a lot of trouble getting into it, despite how excited I was to read it. It didn’t start picking up until after 35%, but after that […]

Meh. That’s the best word I can describe this book with, and it’s mostly all I have to say about it. But I can’t write a one word review, can I? First of all, this book was weird. And confusing. There were a lot of WTF moments, and sometimes it didn’t make any sense at all. There were a lot of terms that weren’t explained, either: downhollow, fiend (which I eventually figured out was basically a demon), crooked (I finally […]

See the full list of topics HERE. Last week’s topic: Where were you 13 years ago? This week’s topic: Languages Well, I speak English, obviously. XD Spanish I used to be really good at Spanish, too! (I say used to be because I haven’t thought about it since High School and I’ve since become totally rusty…) I took 3 years of it in High School, and I loved it. I got straight A’s in the class and the teacher rocked! Funny story… […]

Staples Reading Speed Test

Staples Reading Speed Test

I originally found this test over at Tempest Books (thanks for sharing, Miranda!), and thought it was so awesome I wanted to do a full post about my own results. I’ve always wondered how my reading speed compared to other readers! I know that I can finish a 300 page book in roughly 3 hours on average, but it was very interesting to see it broken down. Without further ado… (The first time I took the test I got 513 with 100% accuracy. […]
