My thoughts

My first thought upon finishing this book: Ahhhhhhhh.

I love happy endings, and I especially love books that leave no loose ends.

There’s trouble in paradise when Lily’s squid-brain cousin, Dosinia, shows up to live with her and learn the ways of humans. Things soon get knee-deep as said cousin takes an instant liking to Lily’s ex-crush. In an ironic twist of fate, Lily makes an unexpected trip home to visit.

I must say I admire Lily for not knocking the carp out of Doe. She keeps her cool when I, as the reader, am sitting here thinking, OMG just punch her teeth out already!!!! Once again, Childs put me right into the story with her brilliant and witty writing.

I don’t have much to say about this book because I liked it so much (and I don’t want to give anything away). There’s nothing irritating for me to pick apart and critique. Just like Forgive My Fins, this one was a quick and satisfying read.
