What I’ve been up to this week:
Ugh, this week has been nuts. I feel like I haven’t had a spare moment to breathe! I’ve been running a lot of errands I feel like, and it hasn’t left me much time to read for the Beat the Heat Readathon :(
I’m also in the process of looking for another job. I was doing great, but now the fact that my bills are $150 more a month than I actually make is catching up with me. I have no choice but to get another job. *sighs* I tried to donate plasma for money and the lady gave me a hematoma on BOTH arms so I had to leave with two giant ice packs strapped to my arms -___- (thankfully I still got paid for the 3 hours I spent enrolling!) So yeah. I’m trying to get on at a bookstore somewhere, because how amazing would it be to work with books?! But I don’t have much experience outside of the animal industry, so…
-stress-
What’s in your mailbox, loverlies? Link me up!
Ooh nice haul! Ugh, bummer about the need for a second job. I find myself relieved to finally have one, and yet, I know it’s not something I can sufficiently move out on on my own. Thankfully I still have my family, but yeah. Guess I need to start saving up! Hope the job hunt goes well, a bookstore job sounds ideal! ;)
I know from experience, library ones are hard to get! I applied to several and never even got a call. :(
Good luck and happy reading!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

I must’ve missed the Harry Potter gene giveaway because I just cannot work myself up to get excited about the series. I did TBR Uprooted on GoodReads.
I got print copies of “Montpelier Tomorrow” by Marylee McDonald and “Sit! Stay! Speak!” by Annie England Noblin in the mail this week for review. The second book has an adorable puppy on the cover. :O)
Don’t you love those print copies. I love seeing packages on my doorstep or opening the mailbax and seeing some inside. It’s like Christmas! Happy reading!
here’s my haul – http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/08/30/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-127-and-the-sunday-post/
I’ve also heard some great things about Uprooted. Will have to check back and see what you think about it. I work part time at a bookstore, and I totally understand about having to work two jobs. The only problem with working at a bookstore is all the books I buy that I shouldn’t because of the discount! :-)
Check out my Sunday Post
Oooh I LOVED Uprooted and raved about it terribly. I may also be guilty of gently forcing it on all my friends and family… oooops! ;) Hope you enjoy it!
Oh wow, you tried donating? You’re the first person I know to have done that. And 3 hour enrollment? WHY.
I liked Uprooted but the middle dragged and I got distracted. I’ll pick it back up, eventually.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Uprooted! My hubby gives plasma a couple times a week, it helps. I could never do it, I don’t like needles! I think trying to get on with a bookstore is a GREAT idea! I’m sure being a big reader and running a blog like this has to count for something right??
Good luck with the job hunt! I hope you find something you enjoy doing. :)
