Yasmine Galenorn is so talented at creating a convincing, realistic world! I love to live in the world she paints; it’s my favorite part of this book for sure. I didn’t enjoy Changeling quite as much as I enjoyed Witchling, but it was still a good entertaining read. Delilah is my favorite of the three D’Artigo sisters because, after all, she’s a werecat. And anybody who knows anything about me knows I LOOOOVE cats! I was really looking forward to reading […]

“This place isn’t beautiful. It’s two-faced and treacherous, and so is everything here.” Aside from the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning and Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa, this is one of the top books I’ve read about fae! I didn’t love it necessarily, but I really really liked it! And to be honest, I didn’t expect to enjoy it half as much as I actually did. I’m kinda picky about faerie stories, and let’s face it, there’s a lot of […]

I’ve been wanting to read this series for a while…and this isn’t the first time I’ve read Witchling. But, it was a loooong time ago and I had pretty much forgotten everything – except that I enjoyed it – so it was almost like reading it again for the first time. It’s a world I love to live in; exciting and magical, filled with all sorts of fantasy creatures imaginable! That was my favorite part: Meeting all of the vamps, […]

The hardest reviews to write are for books that didn’t inspire much of anything in me either way – love or hate. This was one of those. It was good, but not great. It was a quick and light read and I don’t regret reading it, but I don’t think I would read it again. I had mixed feelings about Dana. She was an alright lead, but she annoyed me at times. First of all, she was selfish. She ran […]

The only complaint I have about this book: It wasn’t long enough. The stories within a story were awesome and really set the scene (even though I didn’t really know it). The tale of the dragon was very witty and I really liked the Ice Flower story, but my favorite was the new take on a werewolf stemming from Alchemy. Very interesting and unique! The touch of steampunk was pretty cool too! The relationship between Rolph and Tara moved a bit […]

DNF Review: The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton

DNF Review: The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton

I had heard good things about this book, so I bought it. I am now regretting that decision. I made it through 200 pages, more than halfway…and was absolutely bored to death. Everyone talks about the fey being real, but you don’t really see many glimpses of them. There was little to no plot in my opinion and the story was not convincing. The characters didn’t have any personality. There was little to no action. I would have liked to […]
