Click covers for my original reviews! Holy cow, what an emotional rollercoaster! I was fully prepared to be overcome by feels jumping back in. The second time around I feel like I appreciated the secondary and supporting characters so much more. I barely remembered any of them the first time around because I was so obsessed with Buruu and Yukiko! I really enjoyed taking the time to focus on the finer points of this book. I really had time to […]
Okay, so I kind of cheated here because there’s actually 11 books. But I went for my top three series! The Wayfarer Redemption This series is very special to me for a lot of reasons. It was my first for a lot of things – first long series, first High Fantasy, first foray into the world of books with steamy scenes, and also my first favorites. It’s very nostalgic to me! I’ve read the first 3 books (the original trilogy) […]
Every single one of these books is a sequel to a book that I rated 4 stars. I enjoyed them at the time of reading, but I remember next to nothing about any of those books and I have no desire left to continue any of these series. Do you have any books like that? Where as time passes, you lose interest in them?
I am a HUGE sucker for strong non-romantic relationships in books! My favorite of course is a bond between a human and (sentient) animal, but I really love when a guy/girl friendship is super strong and 100% platonic. It’s almost guaranteed these days that any male introduced to a female protag (or vice/versa) is going to be a love interest. GUYS AND GIRLS CAN BE JUST FRIENDS, PEOPLE. I’ve also included a guy/guy bromance and a girl/girl womance because I […]
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl I am a notorious procrastinator and the same can be said about my intentions to pick up books. If I don’t read them as a new release, they tend to sit around for months (years? Oops) and I just keep putting them off and putting them off. I SUCK. Sooo here are my top ten books I’ve had on my TBR the longest and still haven’t read: Most of these […]
I’ve been thinking lately about switching over from weekly wrap ups to monthly wrap ups. I don’t post consistently every week, so my hauls tend to be every month anyway. Last year they tended to be every other month. So it’s kind of pointless to name it ‘weekly!’ I really want to start wrapping up books I read, books I reviewed, and some other stats and bookish things (including bookstagram!) in my wrap ups as well, and it seems redundant […]
