I’m going to be honest, this is a book I would never have picked up on my own. The cover just screams “contemporary” and I’m not a big contemp reader. I also wouldn’t have pegged it as YA. Whew, that was intense! It’s kind of like the Hunger Games – you should know better than to get attached to anyone cuz PEOPLE DIE.
