Review: Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult

I’m going to be honest, this is a book I would never have picked up on my own. The cover just screams “contemporary” and I’m not a big contemp reader. I also wouldn’t have pegged it as YA. Not to mention the average Goodreads rating is only 3.53, which typically scares me away from reading.
