This makes twice that I’ve read this one, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time! I re-read it because I wanted to read Endlessly and it’s been so long since I read the first two that I forgot basically everything. But as I was reading, I found it all coming back to me. It kept me from being surprised in many places, because I knew what was going to happen; but I think as a new reader, […]

Review: The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

I love mythology. A lot. And although I haven’t read up on the Persephone myth all that much, it fascinates me. I was sure I was going to love this. So sure. Perhaps I set my expectations sky high, or perhaps there was too much hype for this book, but I was extremely disappointed. My main problem? Kate. I couldn’t stand her. She was alright in the first half or so, average and nothing special to speak of…but not necessarily irritating, […]

Review: Changeling by Yasmine Galenorn

Review: Changeling by Yasmine Galenorn

Yasmine Galenorn is so talented at creating a convincing, realistic world! I love to live in the world she paints; it’s my favorite part of this book for sure. I didn’t enjoy Changeling quite as much as I enjoyed Witchling, but it was still a good entertaining read. Delilah is my favorite of the three D’Artigo sisters because, after all, she’s a werecat. And anybody who knows anything about me knows I LOOOOVE cats! I was really looking forward to reading […]

Oh. My. Wow! I am currently speechless, please give me 3.5 seconds…… Okay. Ahem. So, um, this book rocked my socks. It was fast-paced, action-packed, and full of twists and turns. The stakes are high and nothing is what it seems. And boy, did everything go to hell in a handbasket… Mr. Knight really knows how to play your emotions! I felt a vast array of them – shock, horror, sadness, joy, regret. Mostly shock. This book was a rollercoaster […]

Early Review: Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate

Early Review: Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate

Eve and Adam was a bit strange at times, but I loved the writing style because it was quirky and engaging. There was humor at frequent intervals (and some innuendos) and the prose held my interest even when there wasn’t really anything exciting happening. It was fairly short, so it was a quick and easy read. Evening was a solid lead. She was smart and witty and there was nothing she did in the book to annoy me, which is […]

Review: The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee

Review: The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee

This book was totally creepy! It grabbed my attention right from the beginning and refused to let go. Suspenseful and chilling, I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, wondering what would happen next. I just want to get something off my mind right now before I go any further: I don’t know what’s up with killing felines in books lately, but it really needs to stop. It doesn’t add anything to the story except outrage (for […]
