OH MY GOD JAY WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BREAK MY HEART?! I should have known this would end in tears. IT ALWAYS DOES. *sigh* I’m not usually a fan of novellas because most of the time they only tell a more detailed story of what you already know. But I loooved this one! I freaking love the arashitoras, and reading in the POV of one of them again was like having a little piece of Buruu back. (I […]

Review: Panic by Lauren Oliver

Review: Panic by Lauren Oliver

I thought for sure I was going to enjoy this book. I absolutely LOVED Before I Fall, and while I wasn’t the biggest fan, Delirium was still enjoyable. Sadly, this one did not work for me. The pacing was downright horrendous – I was bored out of my mind for most of the book. See the full list of topics HERE. Last week’s topic: Introvert or extrovert? To be honest, I don’t have any guilty pleasures. I don’t watch soap operas (I hate them, actually) or read steamy novels. I still love listening to old Backstreet Boys songs! And I still know all […]

Being a picky reader sucks  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read a book that everyone else loved, and ended up hating it. I feel like I’m almost always the black sheep compared to the majority of the population. Sometimes I really feel like I’m missing something that made them like it, but sometimes I wonder: Am I just too picky? Here’s a few examples: I don’t like most romance. If it’s not written a certain way, I’m […]

Review: Cured by Bethany Wiggins

Review: Cured by Bethany Wiggins

I loved Stung. LOVED it. The world was amazing, the idea of it was unique and intriguing, and the beasts were scary. I rated it 4.5 stars. Somewhere between Stung and Cured, the magic was lost.   Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it. But, there was none of the epic world building that I adored so much in the first book. There was little to no talk about the bees or the virus, and the beasts only made an […]
