My thoughts
I confess I may have waited a bit too long to write this review. I’ve already forgotten a lot of the book >.<
I’m not the biggest contemporary fan, but every once in a while I need a cute and fluffy book to give me a break from the fantasy I usually stick to. And this one totally worked! It was adorable, and I enjoyed the banter between the main characters. I am also a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope!
Jack and Pepper were cute together. I liked that they started out as rivals and slowly turned into more. (And were also secretly talking on an anonymous dating app to add tension.) Mostly I loved their family dynamics!
I don’t have much else to say about this book. I enjoyed it while reading – it’s fast-paced and cute – but overall it didn’t have much depth and won’t stick with me. I would definitely still recommend this to fans of contemporary!
