This novella was very hard to rate for me. While I still enjoyed it because it’s the Shatter Me world, Adam pissed me off. Really pissed me off. If I hadn’t been Team Warner already after Destroy Me and Unravel Me, this would have firmly secured me there 100%. I can definitely foresee lots of former Team Adam people changing sides, because I don’t know how anyone could stand to be Team Adam after this. Going into this novella, I truly […]

Review: Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi

Review: Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi

It was nice for the series to come to an  end, but all in all I just felt….disappointed. I was glad to finally see the Still Blue, yet it seemed like all the hype for it built up to that one moment and it…kind of…just…fizzled out. We know that it’s paradise, but I think a little more description could have glorified it a bit more. I think there was too much focus on the fact that skies were free of […]

The fact that this novel takes place in space was enough to make me like it. Space stories are so few and far between! There’s a certain magic to the idea of being in space (Treasure Planet!) and this one really captured that magic. The first line was ‘Stealing a spaceship shouldn’t be this easy.’ Talk about getting your attention! It was also very unique. The idea of metatech and metaspace was very intriguing, as were the Pyreans and Empyria! […]

Let me just say this: I love Anita. LOVE. She’s one of the most awesome authors I’ve ever talked to! I enjoyed Splintered, but Unhinged was even better! And no, I’m not biased just because I like the author. The world is a deliciously macabre version of the original, and I was thrilled to dive back in! I love Anita’s writing. She can paint the scenes in my head vividly and beautifully! The world building is one of my favorite […]

I think it would be impossible not to love anything that Laini Taylor wrote. She’s so talented at stringing sentences together beautifully, even magically, that she can make even the most mundane things seem interesting! I have scuppies in my pocket and lust in my heart. Tonight’s the night. I love Zuzana. She’s hilarious! She’s tiny but fiesty as hell, and she’s got heart as big as her attitude when it comes to the people she cares about. Also, she’s just […]

Review: Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Review: Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Since I was young, I have always known this: Life damages us, every one. We can’t escape that damage. With all of the hype and the negativity surrounding the final installment of the Divergent series, I was kind of afraid to read it! I can’t really say it lived up to the hype, and I wasn’t blown away by it, but I still enjoyed it. Tris improved greatly in this one. In Insurgent, she pissed me off so badly that I […]
