Imagine a world with no electricity. No cell phones, no internet or computers, no television. No way to use debit or credit cards. Mass panic and looting abound, you can’t trust anyone and you have to fight for necessities like food and water. You have to fight for survival. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to live in that world! The thought of it is terrifying, even more so that it could actually happen. And to think how dependent we […]

It took me a while to get into this one. To be honest, I didn’t really like it much at first and wasn’t sure I’d even be able to participate in the tour because I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish it. But I’m glad I did! The book improved vastly as it developed and I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I think this series has great potential. My main issue was the inability to connect. […]

Review: Changeling by Yasmine Galenorn

Yasmine Galenorn is so talented at creating a convincing, realistic world! I love to live in the world she paints; it’s my favorite part of this book for sure. I didn’t enjoy Changeling quite as much as I enjoyed Witchling, but it was still a good entertaining read. Delilah is my favorite of the three D’Artigo sisters because, after all, she’s a werecat. And anybody who knows anything about me knows I LOOOOVE cats! I was really looking forward to reading […]

Eve and Adam was a bit strange at times, but I loved the writing style because it was quirky and engaging. There was humor at frequent intervals (and some innuendos) and the prose held my interest even when there wasn’t really anything exciting happening. It was fairly short, so it was a quick and easy read. Evening was a solid lead. She was smart and witty and there was nothing she did in the book to annoy me, which is […]

Review: The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda

What an interesting take on vampires! This one certainly was not what I was expecting. It was different from any other vamp story I’ve ever read. Which is refreshing, because frankly I’m getting a little sick of vampires. It was strange at some points, but the originality earned some major brownie points for me. The reviews on Goodreads definitely showed a love vs. hate with this book (as in, no in between), so I was kinda skeptical going in. But […]

The Community Link is peace. We are humanity sublime because we live in Community and favor above all else order, logic, and peace. Community first, Community always. I had a lot of mixed feelings about this book. The premise was awesome, but I felt the delivery was a bit lacking in parts, particularly with the world building. So, as per usual with me, let’s get the bad out of the way, then move to the good. Things I didn’t like: […]
