Just like with the first book, I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. As I stated in my review of Walk on Earth a Stranger, I went into the series expecting a historical fantasy. I think everyone knows by now how much I hate historical. I went into this expecting a fantasy. I knew it had a historical aspect, but I didn’t think it would be overpowering.
