I liked what life felt like with him in the desert. Like we were equals. Like we fit together. Too tangled to pull apart so easily. She was iron and fire, a warrior’s spirit with a lion’s heart. While I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as I’d hoped (I loved the Defiance trilogy), it was still an enjoyable read! The darkness cannot last. Light will come again. Wow. This book was amazing! I absolutely loved the world. It was brilliant and creepy! And INTENSE. I was hooked right from the start. Wow. What the hell happened? I am vastly disappointed by how underwhelmed I was with this book. Actually, I struggled to maintain interest through most of it.
