I’ve had this book forEVER, and I kept putting it off and putting it off…I don’t even know why! I really enjoyed In the After. I was really looking forward to this one. And I ended up enjoying this one almost just as much! I should have read it much sooner! I enjoyed being back in the world of In the After. I forgot how much of a badass Amy was! She didn’t take crap from anyone, and had no […]

Review: A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

Review: A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

I really enjoyed jumping back into this world! Victoria Schwab is very talented at creating unique and vivid stories, and this one is no exception. It didn’t quite have the magic that A Darker Shade of Magic held for me, but I still enjoyed it! What really dragged this one down was the pacing. The book is more than 500 pages long, and there’s a long span in the middle where almost nothing is happening. I found myself getting bored […]

I love this world because it’s so unique. Megan Shepherd has created a story unlike any I’ve ever read before! Cora and her friends might have escaped the Cage, but all they did was trade it for another cage. This one was just as creepy as the last! Despite the fact that the Kindred claimed to not kill humans, they were still terrifying. They’re still captors! They controlled everything the humans did. The humans were no better than slaves to […]

Hello loverlies! I hope you enjoyed this readathon as much as I did! I want to thank everyone who participated, and give a special thanks to those who took the extra time to participate in the mini challenges as well. How did everyone do?! I did good – I didn’t reach my goal of 1200 pages or 3-4 books, but I was pretty busy this week and I still read more than I normally would, so I count that as a […]

I was positive I was going to love this one before I ever picked it up. For one, I loved Melissa’s Alienated duology. Two, SPACE! There’s just something intriguing about space stories that draws me in. And just as I predicted, I loved it! The pacing was super fast, there was never a dull moment. Pirates and bounty hunters and danger, oh my! There was tons of action to keep you interested, it was awesome! I especially loved the part […]
